Truckers passing through Bald Knob may not know it, but their rigs often park on a slab provided by Razoback Concrete.
The new Bald Knob Travel Center on Highway 167 North covers more than five acres and almost every square foot of concrete was supplied by Razorback Concrete’s Searcy plant. The project required more than 6,000 cubic yards of ready-mix, making it one of the largest projects ever for the Searcy plant.
Razorback Concrete did a great job. Not one time did we have to wait on the truck.
said Jerry Townsley, the owner of White River Petroleum and general contractor on the job.
Townsley said the new truck stop can accommondate more than 60 trucks on the lot, making it one of the largest truck stops in the region. The slab covering the lot measures 7-8 inches in thickness. Construction of the facility took approximately 12 months.
