Razorback Concrete’s Central Arkansas presence is stronger than ever.
On August 1, the company opened its second location in North Little Rock, a new facility at Crystal Hill Road. The new plant will help support Razorback Concrete Company’s growing business in the central region of the state.
We needed greater capacity to service our customers in west Little Rock,
explained Jeff Heslep, the company’s Western Region manager.
That area is experiencing a lot of growth, both residential and commercial, and so was our business. This new plant will give us the ability to reach customers in west Little Rock, Maumelle and northern Pulaski County.
The new Razorback Concrete plant is located near the intersection of I-40 and I-430, which is excellent logistically, according to Heslep. Dispatching will be handled at the Eanes Road plant.
The new facility has a Ross Batch plant capable of producing in excess of 100 cubic yards per hour. It is equipped with both a “heater” and “chiller” that will enable contractors to conduct pours in both very cold and very hot weather.
The Crystal Hill plant will share a fleet of 39 trucks with the other Western Region plants in Cabot, Bryant, Lonoke and on Eanes Road in North Little Rock. Approximately 35 employees will work at those facilities. Steve Horton, the area manager, will oversee day-to-day operations at the new plant.
This is an exciting addition to our company’s capabilities,” said Kent Ingram, president of Razorback Concrete. “There is great demand for high quality ready-mix in Central Arkansas. Now we are better able to meet that demand.
There are now 16 Razorback Concrete ready-mix facilities located across central and eastern Arkansas.
